Join OMRT to master high-speed CI/CD and build the infrastructure that reshapes real estate.
Job description
OMRT is evolving. We are transitioning to a platform-first approach, fostering deep enterprise collaborations that are reshaping the real estate industry.
This transformation requires a dedicated, infrastructure-focused DevOps Engineer who thrives on technical scaling—someone capable of designing and optimising complex deployment pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and secure application delivery.
In this role, you will stabilise and scale OMRT’s entire platform infrastructure, ensuring high availability and continuous improvement to support our global growth. Reporting to the Head of Technology, you will work closely with Backend and Frontend Developers to own and shape our DevOps roadmap end-to-end.
What you’ll do
As DevOps Engineer, you are directly influencing the reliability and speed of a high-impact product across real estate development and investment contexts on a global scale.
Your responsibilities include:
Deployment Efficiency – Reduce deployment time to a target of under 10 minutes across all environments while ensuring repeatable, manual-intervention-free delivery.
CI/CD Standardisation – Design and maintain scalable GitLab CI/CD pipelines using reusable templates and industry best practices.
Infrastructure Reliability – Maintain high availability (99.9%+ uptime) for production systems across both AWS and on-prem (Proxmox) environments.
Environment Management – Build and manage dev, staging, production, and feature environments, enabling fast provisioning and teardown.
Monitoring & Incident Response – Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR).
Security & Compliance – Implement secure infrastructure practices aligned with ISO 27001, including secrets management and system hardening.
Automation & Cost Optimisation – Automate operational workflows and optimise cloud infrastructure costs.
Knowledge Sharing – Create clear DevOps documentation and runbooks to ensure knowledge transfer across the engineering team.
Job requirements
Education and experience
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform, or Infrastructure roles managing the full lifecycle of production deployments.
Proven experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and containerised applications.
Experience managing hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud) and working in scaling SaaS companies is preferred.
An AWS Certification (Solutions Architect or SysOps) is a plus.
Skills
Containerisation & Deployment – Proficient in Docker and automating the management of containerised applications.
Cloud Platforms – Deep understanding of AWS services including Batch, EC2, S3, Cognito, Sagemaker, Lambda, and API Gateway.
CI/CD & Version Control – Expert level with GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions.
Web & Database Tech – Experience with Nginx, ASP.NET, PostgreSQL, and PostGIS.
Infrastructure as Code – Skilled in Terraform and automation scripting (Bash, Python).
Monitoring & Observability – Proficient with CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Networking & Security – Understanding of system hardening and ISO 27001 alignment.
Behaviour characteristics
Ownership mindset – You take full responsibility for systems end-to-end and drive improvements proactively.
Problem-solving orientation – You are able to troubleshoot complex production issues under pressure.
Structured thinker – You bring order to complex systems through standardisation and documentation.
Adaptability – You are comfortable working in a fast-growing, rapidly changing environment.
Collaboration mindset – You work effectively across teams to align infrastructure with development needs.
